No More Silence Campaign
TRAC FM’s second campaign within the No More Silence program (December 2023 – August 2025), implemented in collaboration with Amref Health Africa’s HEROES 4GTA initiative and funded by the Netherlands Embassy, addresses critical issues of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV). HEROES 4GTA, launched in 2020 by Amref Health Africa with partners Cordaid and MIFUMI, seeks to improve the well-being of young people (ages 10-24) and women (ages 15-49) in nine targeted districts through education, strengthened health services, and challenging harmful gender norms.
Using interactive radio polls and discussions, TRAC FM transforms passive listeners into active participants, amplifying citizen voices and gathering data to inform evidence-based campaigns on teenage pregnancy prevention and SGBV. This approach promotes community awareness, encourages accountability, and supports local initiatives aimed at reducing teenage pregnancies and gender-based violence.
Poll results and citizen feedback from the No More Silence campaign directly shape policy decisions, enhance access to justice, and strengthen community-led responses, ensuring lasting impact on SGBV management and prevention in Uganda. Visit www.tracfm.org to participate and learn more.
