Would you contribute land for the development of a piped water scheme?

Background
Land is critical in the process of development, and in the water sector land is supposed to be contributed by local communities or the local government. This land can be used in different ways, for example for:
- Water sources such as production wells,
- Reservoir tanks,
- Water offices,
- Places where the pipe-line will pass,
- Public toilets.

Usually, the land required is not big and communities are expected to contribute. If there is no land, it can be impossible to develop water schemes. Such communities may be left behind.

Question
Would you contribute land for the development of a piped water scheme?
a. Yes, it will benefit the community;
b. Yes, but only if I get compensation, like free water
c. No, the government won’t compensate me
d. No, my land will remain in the family.
