This week we are discussing the economic development of Uganda and Karamoja. In the last five years, the Ugandan economy has been growing steadily. Figures show that the economy has been increasing with an average of 5% every year. However, these economic figures don't say much about the personal income of people. They don't include other factors that can result from economic growth and may improve your life, such as access to healthcare, housing, or clean water. The Karamoja region has also been lagging behind the rest of the country in economic development.
