BACKGROUND

In August 2014, the 22nd Annual Nile National Agricultural trade show was held. An NGO called the Agency for Transformation, used it to study the possibility of addressing Uganda’s growing unemployment. Uganda has a high youth population, with 78% of them being under the age of 30.

Many of the farmers at the trade show expressed a desire to see young people more involved in agriculture.
