UK study identified four categories of diseases caused by poor water

trachoma; water-based diseases like bilharzias and water-related diseases like
malaria, caused by insect vectors that breed or feed near water.
It
is important that school children have access to safe and secure water to wash
their hands after visiting the latrines, before and after food, and for general
good hygiene.
