2015, the Daily Monitor reported that Gulu University was suffering
from a low supply of water in the last two weeks due to the prolonged
dry season. A dry spell reduces water levels at the water reservoir.
Toilets
are in a poor state,with the stench affecting lectures and posing a
health threat to the university.
According to the university
spokesperson, Ms Amelia Kiggundu, although the institution hires
trucks to supply water, it’s not sustainable.
