What do you think is the best strategy to resolve the current border conflict at Vurra Customs?

Background
A group of Congolese stormed the border point at Vurra in Arua wanting to take over “No Man’s Land” by force with utter disregard of the Ngurdoto agreement signed by Presidents Museveni & Joseph Kabila which stipulates that as the border demarcation has yet to be done, both parties should halt any further construction in the disputed area until a joint technical verification is undertaken.

Last week we run a poll asking you what you thought was at the heart of the conflict at the DRC-Uganda border. Majority seemed to think it was due to misunderstandings between the communities.

As the conflict carries on and tensions run high, both parties continue to lose as the border remains closed and the trade continues to be stalled.

Question

How do you think the current border conflict at Vurra Customs should be resolved?

A.   President Kabila should hold his people accountable for violating the Ngurdoto Agreement and put an end to this.
B.     The community leaders along the border point should hold their people in check.
C.    Should be handled by the security operatives of both countries, enforcing the Ngurdoto Agreement.
