Background
All over the world, the media plays a central role in providing the public with information. In Uganda, radio stations have an upper hand in the media as they reach millions of people more than any other means. According to the 2014 national census, close to 60% of Ugandans own radios, and radio accounts for more than half (55%) as the main source of information in the country.
Knowledge is power, and a radio station that richly informs it’s listeners on all spheres (ie economics, politics, education, current affairs, agriculture, health - among others) changes how people think for the better good.
