Background
Essential medicines, as defined by the World Health Organization (WHO), are the medicines that "satisfy the priority health care needs of the population". Essential medicines are intended to be available within the context of functioning health systems at all times and in adequate amounts.Examples of essential medicines include painkillers such Paracetamol, Anti Malarial Medicine, Oral Rehydration Solution for Diarrhoea among others.
We would like to know if you have been faced by a scenario where these medicines are unavailable in your local health facility in recent months.
