English Version

Local authorities across Somaliland collect taxes from citizens, individuals and businesses regularly. Taxes are one of the key sources of government revenue. When taxes are used appropriately, they can contribute to improved public service delivery and at the same time contribute to the development of the country. On the other hand, if individuals do not pay taxes or if the government misuses the collected taxes, public service delivery will not improve and development will remain stagnant.

Do you think taxes collected by local authorities are used appropriately?

     A. Yes
     B. No
     C. Partly is used properly and while part is misused
     D. Don’t know because there is no accountability

 Instructions
Go message on your phone, type MAQAL(space) then select one of the answers A, B, C or D then send to 343. This message is free of charge.
