Background: Katunguru landing site is located at the Kazinga channel along the Kasese-Mbarara road. This landing site is one among the many that have been subject to a poor life. For so many years, the people of Katunguru have decried the ever increasing defilement and other immoralities at the landing site.

Statistics show that of the 40 girls that start primary one, only two complete P7 and none goes ahead to secondary education.

Some of the people in the area blame the local leadership for not doing so much to make sure the vice is curbed down in the area.
