DELTA SC 1.12 | What is the most effective way to address shame and enable teenage mothers to return to school?
Background
In our previous poll we have seen that the biggest challenge for girls about going back to school is that they feel ashamed about it. When it comes to teenage pregnancies, girls carry the heaviest burden compared to boys. Yet, both girls and boys are equally responsible for the pregnancy.
Question:
What is the most effective way to address shame and enable teenage mothers to return to school?
A: Educate teachers, parents, and fellow students on the dangers of naming and shaming teenage mothers
B: Provide opportunities for teenage mothers to study separately from the regular classes
C: Educate parents and communities that it's possible to complete school and be successful after pregnancy
D: Help girls access family planning services to prevent them from getting pregnant again while in school
