BACKGROUND:
Political interference, lack of
expertise, Selection of beneficiaries and lack of financial control contributed negatively to the success of
the National Agricultural Advisory Services (NAADS) programme.
Our recent poll
question also confirmed that these are some of the reasons that led
to President Museveni opting to use the Savings and Credit
Organisations (SACCOs) to carry on the farmer-led agricultural
service delivery.
