Have the youth in your district benefited from the youth fund that the government of Uganda gave out?
BACKGROUND
The government of Uganda launched a Shs25 billion fund to support youth entrepreneurship in the 2011/2012 financial year and an additional Shs 7bn in this financial year, bringing the total amount so far to Shs 32bn
The money was supposed to be distributed to youth groups in terms of loans of up to UGX25 Million.
In Gulu, we have heard some stories of young people who have benefited from this fund.
However,
we have also heard many young people who say they have not benefited
and others saying that they are not aware of the youth fund.
