What are your views on the Public Order Management Bill that was passed by parliament two days ago?

BACKGROUND:
Two days ago Parliament of Uganda Passed the Public Order Management Bill.

“The objective of the Bill is to regulate public meetings, the duties and responsibilities of the Police, the organisers and participants in relation to public meetings; to prescribe measures for safeguarding public order.”

The Bill defines a “public meeting” as a gathering, assembly, procession or demonstration of three or more in or on any public road.

According to Clause 7 of this Bill, “an organizer shall give notice in writing signed by the organizer or his or her agent to the Inspector General of Police of the intention to hold a public meeting at least seven days before the proposed date of the public meeting.”

This Bill has been highly criticized by human rights activists in Uganda, religious leaders and opposition members of parliament saying that it takes away people's right to protest and assemble.
