Do you think police should “shoot-to-kill” robbers on sight?

BACKGROUND:

Police spokesman Ibin Ssenkumbi revealed a new directive authorizing police officers to “shoot-to-kill” any suspected robbers on sight a move that is intended to counter the rise in armed robberies.

Some people are happy with this directive.

This directive has however been heavily criticized by Human Rights activists with some saying this measure would amount to extra-judicial executions, sometimes the individual maybe mistaken or some may even use the policy to settle personal vendettas.
