What do you think can be done to solve the floods problem in Kasese?

BACKGROUND

Every year, Kasese district has been affected by floods that have seen rivers Nyamwamba, Mubuku, Nyamugasani, among others displace residents and destroy property worth millions of shillings. 

Over 1000 people have been displaced and about 10 people have lost their lives as a result of the floods. Kasese residents are complaining that the government has taken a long time to come to their rescue, and are thus opting for alternative solutions to this.
